Welcome to the online home of the nationally ranked Darien High School Blue Wave boys lacrosse team. Every season the team embarks on a mission striving to continue the tradition of excellence that is embedded within the program. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit. This program has a habit of succeeding.
The Wave are led by Jeff Brameier who is in his 30th season as head coach. Under "Coach B", the program has a win/loss record of 471-121. The program has garnered national recognition with nine state titles including the six straight (1997, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012), twelve FCIAC championships (1992, 1994, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011), five state runner-up trophies, and twenty-five consecutive trips to the state "Final Four"!
Coach B is assisted by a very experienced and professional staff that includes Bobby Lutz and Dan Artesia on varsity, Christian Garnett and Billy Peters on JV, and Charly Fish and Keith McGivney on freshman. The program is also lucky enough to have volunteer Gene Salvatore.
